A Cut Above

I want to thank you all for your continued patronage of our salon! We love our clients and your pets.

My husband, whom many of you know, is in a nursing home with dementia related psychosis. As a result, I need to be more aware of the finances, because a nursing home stay is expensive, even with Medicare and Medicaid (which he barely qualifies for).

All year long we have had people trying to move around or cancel appointments at the last minute. I will always try to accommodate your requests, BUT, this is becoming a huge problem. This week alone we have lost $300 in revenue. That is a lot of money for us! I don't get paid unless you are here in the building.

I understand things happen, but this year has been way worse than previous years with people just not keeping appointments.

The terms of service you agreed to when booking an appointment clearly state there will be penalties for late cancels (within 24 hours or less) and no shows. I can use some discretion in applying those, but it has gotten really out of hand.

All I am asking you to do is keep your appointments or at least give me 24 hours MINIMUM if you need to reschedule or cancel. I have almost no wiggle room with appointments due to yearly booking for most of you. I just need to know I can pay the bills.
