The Summer 2025 Saddle Fitting Clinic originally scheduled for Wednesday July 30, 2025 has been cancelled with plans to reschedule sometime between November 2025 and February 2026. Pepper is such a pretty girl especially when she’s all dressed up! These hot days are difficult to get much work done under saddle safely but they are a fantastic opportunity to practice turnout skills for events in cooler temperatures! Mane/tail braiding, tack cleaning, ways to make your horse shine like the stars they are and spend some quality time with our ponies.

These summer days are blisteringly hot, but lucky for us here at Ride and Roam we have access to both an arena with lights if we want to ride super early or late AND trails so we can ride in the shade. We do have lesson slots available for one off trail lessons and horsemanship lesson packages. Safety Sammy here with your Safety reminder of the week!

Even when it’s hot outside remember to wear your Personal Protective Equipment or PPE for short. It’s up to each horse and rider pair to determine what that entails for them, some horses need hoof boots to be safest, and some riders need to wear gloves to be safest, ask your coach or mentor to help you figure out the PPE setup that will best protect you both and then use it! Rain or shine, hot or cold it doesn’t do a lick of good sitting in the tack room.
