On February 5, 2015, divers and support staff from Coventry, Green and New Franklin spent the morning practicing their under the ice dive rescue skills as part of the. In this black and white shot you can see the dark triangle that has been cut in the ice. This is the only way in and the only way out. Observe the rope extending into the water (held by the team member on the left); there is a diver on the other end of this rope swimming a search pattern. The team member on the right is the safety diver ready to go in to the water the wind chill is - 4.

Coventry firefighters train on firefighting water supply and pump operations. Not all of Coventry has fire hydrants and we depend on water tenders (fire trucks with larger water tanks) to provide water. Firefighters use daily training to stay proficient all all required tasks used during emergency alarms.
