What a wonderful kickoff to our Read for a Greener Akron program at Hardesty Park! 📚🍃

A huge thank you to author for partnering with us and helping make sustainability fun and engaging for all ages. Dina kicked off the event with a special story time reading of her book, S is for Secondhand, inspiring children and families to see the value in reusing, repurposing, and reducing waste.

Attendees enjoyed a sustainability-themed word search, bookmark and flower crafts, a community book swap with and visits with our incredible partners from the , , and .

Children who complete their event passports receive a prize and are entered to win one of two raffle baskets. One generously donated by Towpath Credit Union and the other donated by Dina Younis and us at Keep Akron Beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of learning, creativity, and community as we turned the page toward a greener Akron!
