The Ohio Governor has threatened to withhold the 2nd doses of vaccines to public school staff in Ohio. He is making it seem like schools are unwilling to open by the agreed upon start date - when in reality - he didn’t hold up his end of the agreement to vaccinate all staff by Feb. 1st in order for his proposed March 1st start date to be possible. To use the vaccine as a bargaining chip is negligent to the health of all Ohioans. ⁣

In Akron, school staff has been vaccinated in the Akron School District. But now we're told they won't go back until March 15. That is not acceptable.⁣

Not all staff has even received their 1st vaccine, meaning they can’t get the 2nd one until after March 1. YOU said all teachers would get it 2/1. Also, we are already doing a hybrid model, which is what we signed onto in the agreement for March 1. Your lies are unacceptable.⁣

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was nothing short of a historical icon. My heart aches at the devastating loss of this incredible titan of the law. She was such a fighter in so many different ways and an incredible advocate for women and for the institution of justice. Her strength was...extraordinary. Thank you for everything you have done for us, Justice RBG. You fought for us until the very end. Rest in power...we will keep fighting for you. We must.
