Everything we do grows out of the power of living in authentic community. So, take a look around the site and see the many ways you can get connected. Our gatherings take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month at 10:30 a.m. at The Grand Exchange (933 W Exchange St, Akron). Check out www.mercychurchakron.com for more information.

Our Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols Liturgy is always a meaningful time for our congregation. We’d love to welcome you to share it with us.

When we meet deep suffering with prayer we become “part of the dialogue of love between the Father and the Spirit.” ❤️ N.T. Wright’s “Into the Heart of Romans. Pictured, Fr. Jeremy Lile.

Father Jeremy framed the weekend for our congregation with this wisdom, “I’ll leave you on this holiday weekend with a favorite verse from Sirach 38:34 concerning the work of our hands and how it can be an act of prayer that stabilizes the world. This hangs on the wall in my office as it was a framed gift from all of you several years ago. It is a daily reminder of the importance of the work we do unto God.

“But they keep stable the fabric of the world, and their prayer is in the practice of their trade.”

I also highly recommend Porter’s Gate “Worship for Workers” album.

Last year the kids in our parish helped brainstorm ways to show love to our neighborhood. Here they are bringing that idea to life for the second summer in a row.

Tonight we will gather at 6pm for our monthly meal. A dear friend, community member, and advocate for just mercy guides us through the topic of lament and structural justice.
