• Did you know washing your hair with hot water can be causing unnecessary damage? You definitely do not have to wash it in cold water, but rather washing it with cooler water. This will also create more longevity in your haircolor!

• Hair becomes more elastic while it is wet, which means that it is in its most fragile state.. so when we comb/brush our hair while it is wet, we are tugging and stretching the hairstrand, causing unnecessary breakage. Try brushing your hair when it is dry, before washing & waiting until it is at least 80% dry to brush it! Always brushing from the ends and working your way up! ( This does not apply to my peeps with curly hair. It is actually the opposite for you! But still working from the ends upward)

• Following that, sleeping on wet hair can cause unnecessary damage & breakage as well. This is because of the fragile state your hair is in while wet. The tension and friction of your hair on that pillow case is very damaging over time! (I always recommend silk/satin pillowcase for less friction & tension. You can also get a silk bonnet! 😊)
