The purple cup’s 3D-printed porosity gradient transitions seamlessly from supportive, high-density regions to more porous zones that resemble the natural structure of acetabular bone. This gradient design approach helps align mechanical support with surface characteristics that encourage biological fixation.
Integrated anchoring fins expand the cup’s engagement profile, contributing to secure seating during implantation.
What do you look for in an acetabular cup?

🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟
We're excited to highlight Ron Clough, Chief Operations Officer, here at NexStep! Ron brings dedication, experience, and plenty of heart to everything he does.
Outside the office, he proudly serves as the unofficial tickle monster to his six grandchildren with the newest little one arriving just last week. Ron and his wife, Barb, first met on a blind date in Buffalo, NY, and their journey together has taken them through life and work adventures in South Carolina, New York, Kansas, California, and Ohio. Wherever they’ve lived, Barb has been his steady source of support.
Family stories run deep, too. His daughter once competed in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick event on a blizzard-like day in Cleveland, and his son completed two tours in the U.S. Army. Some of Ron and Barb’s favorite memories include road-tripping in their beloved VW Vanagon camper van.
He’s also a devoted member of his church community, serving as a trustee and happily tackling various facility tasks including, he admits, the oddly satisfying job of striping the parking lot. And as part of his college experience, Ron rolled up his sleeves and interned everywhere from egg and turkey processing plants to a plywood factory and a soybean farm.
We’re grateful to have Ron as part of the NextStep team!
