We are excited to announce that The Heat Wave Salon is proudly sponsoring Ms. Brooke Robinson for Lenawee County Fair Queen!
Brooke is a senior at Blissfield High School, where she plays on the varsity volleyball team. She also works at L.I.L.A.as an infant/preschool teacher assistant, and we’re lucky to have her as our right-hand girl here at The Heat Wave!
A dedicated member of 4-H for 9 years with the Lenawee Shooting Stars, Brooke continues to impress us with her hard work, compassion, and leadership. Her platform for this year’s competition is the prevention of verbal, mental, and physical abuse—a message we stand behind with pride and support.
We couldn’t be more proud of Brooke and all she represents. If you're free this evening, please come out and cheer her on at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds at 7:00 PM as she competes for the crown!

It is not too late to join us this Thursday, September 26th at 5:30 pm for the Zonta of Lenawee Corks and Caps Oktoberfest at the Tecumseh Golf Club. We have a great event planned with delicious German Food Stations including Bratwurst, Potato Pancakes, German Sauerbraten, Bavarian Pretzel w/Beer Cheese, Charcuterie Board, and Kasbrbrettl w/Apple Strudel. Each food station is paired with either a beer or wine tasting that was specifically chosen to go with each dish.

Tickets are $75/ea. and include the food and tastings. All proceeds benefit Zonta of Lenawee and will help us continue to provide grants to organizations who work to uplift girls and women and prevent violence against women. Our grants have helped provide programming and services at the Catherine Cobb Domestic Violence Shelter, Adrian Center for the Arts, Habitat for Humanity, and ROX (Ruling Our eXperiences) to name a few.
