A look back to the first time I took an overnight ferry from Naples to Palermo. I was wiped out after flying from Detroit to Milan, then taking airport link into the city before a long and delayed bullet train to Naples, where I boarded with minutes to spare. All in the name of exploration! Many of you have since taken this ferry with me on a southern Italy trip :)

The new Hard Rock Hotel is being built on the Vegas strip where the old Mirage once stood. It's going to be unbelievably spectacular. I don't talk much about it here, but I've spent a total of 47 nights in Las Vegas in the last 5 years working private corporate events. My first trip to Vegas was in 1993 and over the last 33 years I've visited often enough to watch her change and grow.
