"Watch Night" is the story about Babydoll, a young slave girl whose prayers for freedom are answered through the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation which led the slaves to gather on the Eve of the New Year in faith and hope that their prayers of freedom would be answered. Living on the plantation of Howard B Lynch, Babyboll stays in constant prayer believing that freedom will come one day. Badydoll is tempted by a romantic relationship with the Master’s nephew, who does not agree with the Master’s views on slavery. Master continues to impress upon both of them the disciplines of his Grandfather, Willie Lynch. This production will be in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
