My grandfather, Bob Shaw (b. 1926), was a famous "Old School" tattooer who contributed over 50 years to the tattoo industry. In the 1960's he helped pioneer stricter guidelines for tattoo artists and health departments to ensure cleaner and more sterile shops in the United States.
