BirchTree is at it again... and I've paired up with my sister-in-law, The House Wren (Julie Birky). We now have a booth in Retro 66 Vintage Market, Claremore. Come see our treasures and shop the other wonderful vendors as well.

It's PROM season, too! I have several prom dress and some pants and a pantsuit available!

Life gets busy, doesn't it? And things don't always go as we had hoped, do they?

Due to my being out of town for work for extended periods of time until mid-March 2019, my family and I have decided to put BirchTree on hold.

This page will not be updated and/or monitored closely.

The product we have currently in Cherry Red Market will be there until it is sold out (50% off entire booth!) or until Christmas, then we will no longer have a presence at CRM.

My desire to own my own business - to be creative and work my passions - is still there. I just do not know what the future holds - I just know Who holds it.

My dear MIL started a tradition with her grand-girls: having a back-to-school, dress up tea party as a fun means to teach manners. Over the years, as the girls have grown, it has evolved to include 2nd cousins from OKC and mothers. Due to health issues, the tea party had dwindled.

This year, at the request of those we affectionately call the 3rd Geners, I took over the tradition. At their request, we also expanded it to include girls and boys. Our 3rd Geners range in age from 23 - 14; 1 is married, 1 is engaged; there are now 10 living in Oklahoma and 8 are attending this year's tea party.

I'm taking it up a notch, too, since they're all older. I'm serving a 7-course meal (with help) and setting a formal table. We're all dressing up (formal, steampunk, and/or cosplay). Afterwards, they're playing non-electronic games.

In my research to figure out what I'm doing (LOL), guess what I discovered?

There is a difference between MANNERS and ETIQUETTE!

Can anyone tell me the difference? Without looking it up like I did?

Remember the coffee table project? I finished it. It looks awesome in my living room.
