You can now use a lot more lenses with your Sigma lens converter, thanks to a new firmware update.

Thanks to lens adapters, you can dust off a vintage lens or any modern glass and pair it with a non-native camera body. They are essentially tech-middle-men that bridge the gap between mismatched lens mounts and camera bodies.

So, if you're already invested in PL or EF mount optics, adapters allow you to use those lenses with a camera body with a different mount. Want to use a PL mount lens on an L-mount camera? There's are several companies that make a PL to L-mount adapter. Wooden Camera, Metabones, and Fotodiox all come to mind. Both Leitz and Sigma have one as well.

Sigma carries 3 different lens adapters, the MC-11, MC-21, and MC-31. The company has released firmware updates for 2 of them as well as a general update for its EF mount lenses.

A blast from the past.

For those who remember Sony Creative Software releasing the first version of Vegas back in 2006, kudos to you. The non-linear video editor had somewhat of a cult following as its users gave it high praise. For me, AVID was already a prominent fixture in my workflow, and in 2003, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro snuck their way in. Other than a Sony Vegas 9.0 download over a decade ago, I haven't thought of it since.

So why now? An email brought it to my attention.

Naturally, I zipped over to the website and then dove into some of its history. In 2016, Sony cut ties with Vegas, selling it to MAGIX, who then created the subsidiary Vegas Creative Software. The company offers four different software platforms: VEGAS POST, VEGAS Pro, VEGAS Movie Studio, and VEGAS Stream. Each platform has multiple software bundles that cater to different needs. The question that immediately came to mind was what's up with all the different software options?

B**g Joon-ho is an incredible director with unparalleled vision, but he also likes to look backward at his own work, as well.

There's nothing I love more than to do an exceptionally deep read into a film. And there is no film primed for deeper reads than Parasite. We've talked about the insane ending of the movie and even shown you how B**g Joon-ho had the infamous Park family house built.

But Director B**g's genius runs deeper than all that.

Every time he makes a movie, he reuses strategies he has perfected in other films to make sure the message of his work is received.

That makes Parasite an amalgamation of all the best lessons he has learned throughout the course of time.

And probably what makes the movie so special.

Director B**g is obsessed with asking questions and using similar camera angles, shots, and even plot reveals to push his audience across each film.

But one of them had a particular effect on Parasite.
