SEEKING FULL TIME LUMBER HANDLER

We are a family owned Lumber company that specializes in custom moulding and millwork and have over 250+ employees in our MA, CT, NJ and VA locations.

Seeking a lumber handler who will work with graders, tally person or machine operators and who will be responsible for feeding & catching lumber processed through the milling equipment.

Opportunity for advancement with in house training
Yard workers can be promoted to a tallyman, grader, or inspector
Mill workers can be promoted to machine operator or knifeman

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to
Strap and package piles of lumber
Work indoors 90% of the time
Ability to read tape measure and caliper
Exposure to hardwood lumber grades and equipment set up

Qualifications
Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
Detailed oriented
Self-driven
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must be able to read at high school level
Must be able to speak, understand and communicate safely to work related instructions
