*The Ancient Story Behind Kunetics*

The ancient Taoist philosopher Zhuangzi wrote about a giant fish named K’un that lived in the north. The K’un fish rose out of the ocean and transformed into Peng, a massive bird, similar to a phoenix. Peng flew off to the south, where insects and smaller creatures noticed his migration, but could not understand why the giant bird was undertaking such a long and difficult journey. From their limited perspective, they could not understand that in the south lay the pure, clear waters of the fabled Pool of Heaven.
