Leading by Example 💪❤️Shoutout to Giac and Tina who have been absolutely crushing it here at Sisu showing up consistently, making huge strides in their health, and setting an incredible example for their kids. Even on Memorial Day, fresh off a weekend away, they made it a priority to stop in and train before heading home. That’s what commitment looks like not perfection, but consistency. Their kids tagged along, and we gave them a few fun things to do while mom and dad trained. Because movement should be fun especially for little ones and there’s no better way to teach that than by living it.It’s so important to teach our children a healthy way of thinking and show them what it means to live a strong, balanced, and energized life. The influence of that kind of example lasts a lifetime.

Nearly a year now of pairing yoga before my meditation practice each morning with Manchi. Most days, he climbs right onto my mat, and I’ve learned to flow around him or sometimes right over him. He’s become part of the practice, part of the presence.
Yesterday, I tried paddle board yoga for the first time. Manchi watched from the dock curious, calm. But today, as I paddled away, he ran straight into the water and hopped right on board. I figured he’d sink us if I tried to practice with him, but instead of kicking him off, I let the moment guide us.
We paddled out together, surrounded by water, birds, and quiet. And then, like at home, I began a few sun salutations. As always, Manchi claimed the center of my “mat,” this time floating in the middle of the lake.
It turned into one of the most peaceful, grounding practices we’ve shared. Yoga and meditation have helped me connect more deeply with my breath, with stillness, and with him. The discipline has created space for more patience, awareness, and play.
To anyone who’s ever thought about starting a practice it doesn’t have to be perfect, or even quiet. It just has to be yours. Begin with 5 minutes. Breathe. Feel. Let yourself be where you are. You never know how far it might take you or who might come along for the ride.
