The Milking Devon first arrived in America along with the Pilgrims when they left England in 1623. They were valued for being hardy and excellent oxen. They became well established in New England which remained its stronghold for centuries. Milking Devons are historic gems that represents the old type tri-purpose Devon that no longer exists in England. Milking Devon judge Bruce Farr is smiling ear to ear in front of the largest show of Milking Devons in decades which was held at the VA State Fair in 2019.
