This was a refinishing job. This was a really nice and well build end table that had a water damaged top. I stripped the old finish and replicated the original color stain. It was finished with wipe on poly.

The latest notable work from the shop is this globe stand. Custom design made with maple with, a customized stain and a wipe on poly finish.

This was what I made during the Artist Studio Tour this weekend. Overall I had about 4 dozen people stopped in to see and chat.

I experimented more with color dyes, food coloring, and with different shapes.

Big changes in the workshop this week. I'm getting new equipment next week. After using a shopsmith for 30 years,it just doesn't allow me to do what I need to do. So I've invested in professional equipment, table saw, lathe, bandsaw, drillpress, disc sander . So it is rearranging things, mapping space, and moving stuff, lots of stuff...

This is a cherry and resin twig vase. The wood was basically firewood, a scar on a wild cherry tree growing in a fence line. The piece was hollow and decayed.
This piece is only a wax finish.

This is the latest off of the lathe. It is n oak bowl made from a branch burl that my brother cut in the pasture back home.
The burl had decayed in the center, so it was filled with epoxy resin. The finish is shellac and paste wax. I've added a before photo of the original burl.
