This week, one of our own—April, co-host of Beyond the Breakdown Podcast—is living what too many families silently endure.

Her son Brantley is back in a psychiatric hospital.
He’s just a teenager.
And he’s been battling suicidal thoughts for years.

What many don’t know: Brantley is a survivor of SA .
The trauma changed everything.
The silence nearly killed him.

And this is why we do this podcast.

Because mental health is not a hashtag—it’s a life-or-death reality for kids like Brantley.
Because families are breaking under the pressure and shame of something they didn’t cause.
Because silence protects abusers, not survivors.

Just a quick update:
I’ve been recovering from surgery, and it’s been rough! Definitely more painful and exhausting than I expected. Still in the healing process, still needing a lot of help, but slowly getting back to myself.

Thanks for being patient while I’ve been quiet. I’ll be easing back into podcast stuff soon. Appreciate all the love and support.
