Livestock has its highs and lows and never lets you feel complacent. Last week Ike went and had a breeding soundness exam and we left with a proud feeling moving forward. He is scheduled to go on “vacation” for a couple weeks in September for collections. Romey went into labor and worked hard all day. Even with all the help she had her calf didn’t survive. He was a beautiful dun highpark. We are lucky and Romey has recovered well and back to her sassy self. You take a deep breath and morn the loss then wake up and keep moving.
