Update on Dad’s health 2/14/24:

Daddy is currently at UAB. He’s got several infections in his blood and his lung cancer is back. They’ve had to take him completely off IV’s due to swelling. He also has a fracture in his lower back. Daddy is not healthy enough for any surgeries or chemo now.

There’s nothing more the doctors can do other than morphine to keep him comfortable. They will be sending him home by ambulance by this weekend, and he will be on home hospice. We appreciate so much for prayers and comfort during this extremely difficult time.

My daddy will be discharged from UAB tomorrow, Thursday, February 15 to come home. If you would like to come join us in a Welcome Home Parade at 2:00 PM, please text me 662-436-0323 or DM for his home address.

Anybody been thinking about BBQ? I know I have been missing that smoke.
I’m doing well still extremely sore from lung surgery. With no new setbacks hopefully we be cooking first of April.
Just know I appreciate all the prayers through my long recovery. CANCER SUCKS!

Dad LC Update as of 11/23 AFTERNOON:

Dr. Dudeja just came by the waiting room to say dad’s surgery went very, very well and that he believes he cleared the liver of all the cancerous mass!!! Yayyyyy!!!! Dad is in a recovery room now. Dr. Dudeja said there were no problems at all during the surgery, and that dad should do well once he gets to go home in a few days. He will just have to take it easy until he fully heals. Will keep everyone updated once we complete the ❤️‍🩹 process and get to a room. It will probably take a couple more hours until then. 😍😍
