As a reminder, our Art Education master's students are displaying their two-week residency projects in the Johnson Fine Arts Center until the 19th in Gallery X (Room 106). Chelsea Nguyen recently graduated from Northern with her master's degree in music education. To her, the MME program was an indispensable part of her training as a music educator:

"The Master of Music Education program went above and beyond what I expected from it. The program changed the way I view music education and how I teach my students. The program not only provided me with opportunities to practice new pedagogies, but to learn from my amazing classmates from all around the world. This program is unique. Lastly, this program has renewed my excitement and increased my confidence in being a music educator."

In 1953, Northern State University began offering graduate degrees in education. By our count, this means that we are turning 70 years old this year! Our graduate programs have come a long way since 1953, now including several specialized education tracks and business MS degree options. Here's to 70 more years!
