The first "Friends" tea was held April 1, 1979, to welcome the new Friends of the Library Board and to ask the public to become a "Friend" by paying membership dues.
Next week is National Library week! It's time to renew your Friends of the Library membership for 2016-2017. Your membership allows you to help the children in our community have summer reading as well as library programs throughout the year. Your membership dues helps pay for things the library budget doesn't cover like extra books, posters, children's activities, recognition of our librarians on holidays, book signings, and more. Please renew to help keep our library the remarkable community treasure that we have all come to love and appreciate. $20/single membership; $30/family; $50 business and clubs; $100/benefactor; $300/corporate.
