Today we honour the strength, resilience and courage of millions of refugee around the world.Owec stands with you in solidarity and raising voices for women refugee.

With support from Red Umbrella & UNESCO seed grant, OWEC has conducted a workshop on conceptualizing & understanding unfavourable laws and policies for s*x workers in Uganda.
It has focused on key laws that criminalise s*x workers &s*xual identity such as (AHA) act, the s*xual offence bill etc. Members gained a comprehensive understanding of legal landscape surrounding s*x work & s*xual identity in Uganda.

Let's stand together in compassion and solidarity, celebrating the resilience of those living with HIV Aids . Together we can build a future rooted in understanding, equality and hope.

In these 16 days of activism,let's all boost momentum to end all forms of gender based violence against women and girls .

With support from Uneso under Commonwealth foundation, owec has joined other leaders to be trained on SRHR advocacy which will improve on access to SRHR services among SWs in Uganda . thanks
