Yesterday, we held the 13th meeting between UEGCL and the Kiwanga & Kasokoso Affected Persons Committee at the Namanve Thermal Power Plant.

The meeting welcomed newly elected committee members and provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing community priorities. The Committee also appreciated UEGCL's continued support through initiatives such as the distribution of first aid kits, cement for the local primary school wall, and fruit tree seedlings.

Together, we remain committed to strengthening our partnership and supporting the well-being of our neighbouring communities.

Today, the Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs, Enock Kusasira distributed Life Jackets to the Fishermen Associations of Karuma and Oyam districts, as part of the UEGCL Life Jacket CSR campaign.

This initiative speaks directly to the Environmental, Social and Governance commitment through protecting lives of the fishermen, stakeholder engagement while promoting local economic development in the community.

The fishermen were urged to take care of the life jackets and put them to good use to protect their lives whilst on the Nile.
