This Women’s Month, we spotlight women turning local solutions into climate action.

Founded in 2024, Twimukyangage is a women-led community group promoting clean energy and climate adaptation by producing eco-friendly briquettes and energy-saving stoves using locally available materials such as cassava peelings, grass, soil, and cassava flour.

Through this work, forests are protected, indoor air pollution is reduced, and women earn income through the sale of these products.

We are proud to be supporting the group through training and capacity building, helping members strengthen their skills and reach more households in their communities.
