“AGOA is back on the table for Africa, and Uganda’s door is opening”. 🇺🇬🇺🇸

After Uganda’s suspension on 1 Jan 2024, we’ve maintained sustained engagement with U.S. senators, congressmen, and key offices to reopen the window, starting with one year, with a pathway of up to three years.

This matters because AGOA is jobs: exporters here, and small businesses in the U.S. that rely on Africa-linked supply chains (coffee, food, tourism, textiles, etc.). Now the focus is clear: fix what caused the setback, protect the access, and grow value addition and standards so this opportunity becomes durable.

The door is open again. Now we must make it permanent."
