Acts 10:13-16 (KJV): And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
OF SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES
We are spirit beings. As children of God, we live and walk in the spirit (Galatians 5:25).
Part of walking in the spirit is knowing how one must respond to spiritual experiences.
This is a fundamental lesson in Christian maturity because there are many who have lost their destinies because they did not know what to do with and in divine encounters.
The apostle Peter in our theme scripture is an example. The Lord instructed him to ‘kill and eat’ thrice, but because of the strong influence of religious tradition, he rejected this instruction.
In 1 Kings 3:9-10, we receive insight into how King Solomon responded in his divine encounter and how it defined the rest of his life. When asked by God what he wanted, the king said, “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” The Bible goes on to say, “And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.”
It is not enough to have spiritual experiences. Ask God to give you wisdom to know HOW to respond to and in divine encounters lest you lose what is rightfully yours because you did not know what to do or say.
Praise Him.

GOLDEN NUGGET: We are spirit beings. As children of God, we live and walk in the spirit. Part of walking in the spirit is knowing how one must respond to spiritual experiences.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I receive it with utmost humility. I am instructed even in my visions and dreams and know what to say or do. I will never miss what You have ordained as my portion through wrong responses to experiences because my spirit is disciplined enough to know what You expect from me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 37:23(KJV); The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH
The Hebrew root word gabar used for 'a good man' in our theme scripture is translated to mean strong or mighty.
When read in this context, the Word of God says, 'the steps of a strong man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.'
For God to order your steps, you need to be spiritually strong. He requires from you a high inner strength.
Let us understand this ordering of your steps in light of divine assignment.
This means that God is not in the business of assigning spiritually weak men. They may not be physically strong and may suffer some weaknesses in the flesh but it is important to him that their spirits are strong.
This is why your preparation precedes assignment by God. Most men who are eventually assigned by the Lord have been tested and tried in all manner of ways before they are entrusted with the great mantle of divine mandate.
Why is this so important? Because it is the strength of your spirit that will guarantee that you will finish your divine assignment and sustain you through all manner of attacks from the enemy.
Allow God to work in you, prune you and shape you because He wants to use you once you are strengthened, skilled and experienced.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 10:39; Proverbs 18:14
GOLDEN NUGGET: It is the strength of your spirit that will guarantee that you will finish your divine assignment and sustain you through all manner of attacks from the enemy.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for Your Spirit that strengthens my inner man every day. I have yielded my heart to Your work. Break, bend and kill me if You must, that I will be ready for Your great work, in Jesus' name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 2:9(KJV); But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
EVERYTHING IS READY
One of the elemental aspects of faith is the knowledge that God has already prepared everything you need for a bright and successful future.
God does not send you into a destiny that He has not tailor-made and designed for your continued progress.
It is in His nature to firstly make everything ready and then place you in the midst of ready-made success.
So it was in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis 2:8, the Bible says, "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed."
As you may note, He did not create a man and then plant a garden. He planted a garden and placed the man in it.
So it is with your life. He prepared your marriage and wishes to place you in it. He prepared your ministry and desires to establish you in it. He prepared your career and wants to advance you in it.
Everything is ready. Your part is to believe it.
Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Genesis 2:8; Romans 8:28
GOLDEN NUGGET: God prepared your marriage and wishes to place you in it. He prepared your ministry and desires to establish you in it. He prepared your career and wants to advance you in it. Everything is ready. Your part is to believe it.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I rest in the blessed assurance that years ahead are secure. You are my centre, the beginning and end. I know that I cannot fail because when You went ahead of me, You made my future failure-proof, in Jesus' name, Amen.
