Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) materials provide guidance, equip learners and teachers with knowledge and tools to identify and respond to mental health issues in schools.
Last week, we participated in the launch of several MHPSS materials which have been developed over the past years. CCUg has provided technical input and actively participated in the development of six materials including learner readers, teacher handbook and guideline.
Held at Kampala Serena Hotel, this launch brought together more than 60 stakeholders from different ministries, NGOs and UN bodies across Uganda. Together with students from St. Gonzaga Gonza Secondary school, we represented entities from the Busoga sub-region.

After having a training on health and hygiene disease prevention, 130 participants were given blankets to provide warmth and mosquito nets to fight malaria in Buwenda Village.
These were given out in their respective groups.
