Love isn't just a feeling or a fleeting moment of kindness; it’s a powerful force that transforms lives when it is put into action. When we choose love in action, we choose to engage with the world in a way that transcends personal gain and self-interest. It becomes a ripple effect that can heal, uplift, and ultimately change the fabric of society.

In Uganda, millions of young people wake up every morning with dreams in their hearts, skills in their hands, and education at their backs—but they are met with the cruel reality of unemployment, underemployment, and informal work that robs them of security, dignity, and a future.
This isn’t just a statistic. These are real lives—dreams deferred, futures uncertain, families waiting for hope. We can’t stand by while young people are held back from contributing their energy, creativity, and potential.
She Rises is clear: economic growth has no meaning if it doesn’t create opportunities for people to work in dignity. Jobs mean nothing if they are not safe, fairly paid, inclusive, and sustainable. We must rise above the numbers and see the faces—the hope in their eyes—and do what is right.
At Girls Rising Up Network, we believe in the power of youth-led solutions, skills development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic policies. These are not just options—they are the key to stability, progress, and a future that includes everyone.
With our project She Rises, we are empowering young women to take charge of their futures, equipping them with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to rise above the barriers. When young women have access to decent work, they don’t just survive—they thrive. They become the builders of economies, the strength of communities, and the shapers of a world that leaves no one behind.

!. In our meetings, we set ambitious goals and work tirelessly to achieve them. One of our key objectives is to support girls and women in managing their menstrual health, a challenge that has long been shrouded in silence and stigma. Our organization, Girls Rise Up Network, has launched the project to empower girls with knowledge and skills to navigate their menstrual cycles with confidence. Through this initiative, we'll be visiting various villages, equipped with educational materials, to teach girls and women about:
- Menstruation Cycle, Menstrual Hygiene, Girl space And more...By doing so, we aim to break the cultural taboos that have left many girls feeling uncertain and ashamed about their bodies. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where girls can thrive, unencumbered by the weight of menstrual stigma.
