Busoga Tourism Minister Hellen Namutamba Delivers Christmas Message, Urges Responsible Spending and Domestic Tourism

The Minister of Busoga Tourism and Heritage -Ministry in the Busoga Kingdom, Owek. Hellen Namutamba, has delivered her Christmas and New Year message to the people of Busoga, calling for responsible celebration, family bonding, and promotion of local tourism.

Speaking during a press briefing, Owek. Namutamba extended warm Christmas and New Year wishes to the Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, the Inebantu Jovia Mutesi, their twins, and the entire Busoga community.

She urged Basoga to celebrate the festive season with joy and unity, while also being mindful of their responsibilities after the holidays, particularly school fees. The minister advised families to spend wisely and plan ahead as schools reopen soon after the festive period.

Owek. Namutamba also encouraged parents and families to use the holiday season to visit and appreciate the rich tourism and heritage sites within Busoga. She highlighted key attractions such as Itanda Falls, Kagulu Rock, the Bishop Hannington Memorial Site, and the Source of the Nile, among others, noting that domestic tourism plays a vital role in preserving culture and boosting local economic development.

In her concluding remarks, the Minister called upon the people of Busoga to continue supporting national leadership, urging them to vote for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the First Deputy Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, citing the need for continuity and development.

She wished all Basoga a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
