🛑 Stop scrolling! We are witnessing a historic moment, an entire era, and an absolute company record. Our very own Serhii Volkov is celebrating 10 YEARS with us! 👑🔥
Read on for the story of a true IT superhero — from a 19-year-old student with a completely blank resume to the Tech Lead badge on our team tree!
How did it all begin? Ten years ago, a guy with zero commercial experience walked into our interview. But he had such wide, burning eyes and a passion for Ruby that we just couldn't say no. It turned out to be our best decision ever. Serhii became our absolute OG employee, witnessing the company back in the days of ""Wild West IT."" 🦖
For years, our CEO, Dmytro, used to tell a funny story about Serhii's start, until ""the kid grew up"" 😄. During the interview, Serhii nailed the theory so well that we sent him an offer instantly. However, the first real tasks showed that there’s a slight gap between theory and actual deployment...
That’s when the real quest began. Serhii survived the era when documentation was replaced by sticky notes on monitors. Back then, deployments were done completely manually—with fingers crossed, praying to the Deploy Gods, and just hoping for the best. Yet, amidst all this chaos, Serhii always sat there with his trademark calm, saying:
""Well, let’s see what happens."" 🧘♂️
Over these 10 years, Serhii has:
Contributed his perfectionism to almost every single project in the company.
Helped raise and mentor a whole generation of Ruby developers alongside the team.
Become the ultimate mega-pro, whose mere approval on a Pull Request means ""everything is flawless.""
Outside of work, Serhii is a whole different story. He is a huge chess fan, calculating moves ahead not just on the board, but directly in the code ♟️. He is also a hardcore healthy lifestyle advocate. His ultimate passion? Office buckwheat. He inspects the quality of his healthy meals even more strictly than clean architecture.
And today (cue the drumroll), Serhii unlocks an achievement that NO ONE else in the company has. He is officially entering the Avatar State! 🌪️🔥🌊🪨
This is the ultimate power mode, with all IT elements under his total control: he extinguishes project chaos like fire, directs data streams like water, builds architecture solid as rock, and makes decisions light and precise as air.
Serhii, you’ve completed this 10-year quest from a raw Ruby gem to the Ultimate Avatar. You’ve committed a million bugs, solved them all, and become our rock. Thank you for your brilliant mind, humor, stability, and for being with us!

Stability and business continuity today come at a price. We know exactly who is paying it.
It often feels like life is back to normal: we close tasks, plan releases, and enjoy our morning coffee. But we never forget that every peaceful workday is made possible only by the extraordinary efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The security and stability of the West today rest squarely on the shoulders of Ukrainian defenders.
For the Codica team, supporting the military is not just charity—it is a core responsibility. We don’t aim to brag about figures or reports.
Our priority is unmanned systems. Drones are our eyes, our technological reach, and our edge on the front lines. This is why we systematically contribute to drone fundraisers (including those by Serhii Sternenko and other high-impact initiatives).
Every video showing successful drone operations is proof that our contributions are working. We are proud to know that our team’s support is behind those precision strikes against the aggressor.
We urge our partners, colleagues, and friends: do not grow accustomed to the war. It continues every second, and drones don’t buy themselves. There is no such thing as a small donation—there is only a shortage of drones.
We keep working, supporting tech superiority, and bringing victory closer. 🇺🇦

Building a mobile app looks exciting from the outside 📱
But the real magic happens in the process behind it ✨
We’ve built apps for startups, and one thing is clear 👇
A great product is not just about code — it’s about following the right steps from day one.
Here’s what a solid mobile app development process looks like:
🔍 Product discovery to validate the idea, define goals, and understand the market.
🧩 Planning & requirements to shape features and technical direction.
🎨 UI/UX design to create a smooth and intuitive user experience.
💻 Development (frontend + backend) to bring the app to life.
🧪 Testing to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
🚀 Deployment to launch your app to real users.
🔄 Ongoing support and updates to keep everything running smoothly.
Each step plays a critical role in turning an idea into a product users actually want.
Skipping or rushing one usually leads to problems later.
From our experience, the difference between a “working app” and a successful one is how well this process is handled.
Details like UX, testing, and post-launch support make all the difference 🚀
If you’re planning to build a mobile app, understanding the process upfront saves time, budget, and stress.

Most companies don’t have a talent problem in 2026.
They have a signal-to-noise problem.
Too much content. Too many opinions. Too many “gurus.”
Too little practical thinking that helps leaders hire better, grow stronger teams, and make smarter decisions.
Our HR Director Natalya Klimenko often says:
The right idea at the right time can save months of wrong hiring decisions, internal friction, or stalled growth.
That’s why continuous learning matters — not as a trend, but as a business advantage. Here are a few YouTube resources we believe are worth your time right now:
