King Size

This was the study in which I spent the greatest number of days and hours to obtain a satisfactory graphic result. The inspiration came from an advertisement about an object / resin ornament very appreciated by collectors. In fact, a piece whose proposal is to give those who appreciate these products not only the power to paint them but also to collect them. I needed to enlarge the photo so that the vectorization work was as detailed as possible. After a lot of tweaks, tries and unsharp's mask's I got a pretty cool result! I painted and textured in photoshop all the details using the already known technique of the digital stained glass that I have been using for a long time. It was work, yes, but the result pleased me a lot. By the way, here is the tip because from now on, keep an eye on these pieces usually sold on some specialized websites or in stores that sell miniatures of super heroes, famous characters, among others. Working on them gives us a really cool creative broth!

Well it’s been awhile between posts - and I’m sure most of you will have picked up that Good Design Makes Me Happy isn’t posting any new work.

I started Good Design Makes Me Happy with the endeavour to create a visual diary of beautiful graphic design - and have done so, having blogged for over 7 years. Having been on a hiatus for the past year, I have made the extremely tough decision to stop posting on the blog. It’s been such a hard decision and a wonderful experience posting, interacting with you all, sourcing and being inspired by such incredible work from all around the world.
