In 2012, MVIWAMO with the other District Networks managed to form MVIWAARUSHA – an umbrella network of farmer groups in Arusha region. The main purpose of the network is to improve communication amongst farmers' groups in order to enhance the participation of small-scale farmers in planning, implementation/ supervision of social, economic and understanding of political processes. Mobilization of farmers’ groups to form and/or join farmers’ networks. Facilitation of communication between MVIWAARUSHA, district networks, local networks, farmers’ groups various institutions and other relevant organizations. Bringing about changes of ideas and knowledge, skills and experience on farming and livestock keeping activities.
