We love these graceful animals. They also know how to throw a hefty kick when the situation calls for it. Do you notice how some giraffes here are looking to one side? They had just witnessed one of their own being taken down by a lion. It's quite rare. It was such an intense scene, I remember my stomach was in knots the whole time. The wilderness is full of surprises. Happy world giraffe day!
