are successful in hunting AND scavenging. They can travel over 60km a night, in search of food if need be. They prey on the young of wildebeest, Kudu, but also opportunistic and could take down almost any mammal, bird, reptiles and even fish, vegetable matter, carrion and sometimes garbage. Here you can observe the Spotted Hyena hunting for a frog.
