dio journey began at the now-defunct 98.9FM, where he appeared as a guest DJ on the popular Sunday morning program “The Positive Vibe.” He also worked with Love 94.1FM before establishing himself as a longstanding voice of encouragement and inspiration on ISAAC 98.1FM, where he continues to share uplifting gospel music with listeners across the nation. A committed follower of Jesus Christ since 1994, Mickey is not only a DJ but also a musician and educator. He has dedicated time to teaching steel pan music to students of Princes Town Junior Secondary School and Naparima Girls’ High School, nurturing the next generation of musicians. His contribution to gospel music has been recognized both locally and regionally. DJ Mickey was honored with the DJ of the Year Award at the Gospel Music Awards of Trinidad & Tobago in 2018 and 2020. That same year, he was also named the Caribbean Gospel DJ of the Year (2020) for The Praise Ministry in the Grand Cayman Islands, a testament to his growing influence beyond his home country. Through his passion, professionalism, and ministry, DJ Mickey continues to use music as a powerful tool to inspire, uplift, and motivate audiences, spreading the message of the Kingdom one beat at a time.
