In April 1915, more than a century ago, soldiers from distant lands arrived on these shores — many never to return home. Today, as we walk among the gravestones and flowers, the silence speaks louder than any history book.

The Gallipoli campaign began 110 years ago. It reminds us not only of courage and sacrifice, but also of how fragile and precious human life is in times of conflict.

You may notice the flowers placed on some of the gravestones. These are simple gestures left by our guests — a quiet way of remembering, reflecting, and paying their respects. Nothing more, nothing expected.

These battlefields were once filled with uncertainty and loss. Today, they stand as places of remembrance — shared by all, belonging to none.

Perhaps the most important lesson they offer is this: understanding the past can guide us toward a more thoughtful and peaceful future.
