AVCI Architects

Designed in 2022, this private residence in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia explores the relationship between architecture, climate, and family life within a dense urban context.

Conceived as a multi-layered, multi-generational home, the project is structured around a sequence of courtyards, terraces, and shaded transitions that negotiate privacy and openness. The architectural language responds directly to local climatic conditions through deep façades, controlled openings, and carefully articulated outdoor spaces.

Rather than a singular mass, the house is experienced as a composition of interconnected volumes, allowing varying degrees of independence while preserving a strong spatial continuity. Landscape elements are integrated as spatial buffers, enhancing daylight, natural ventilation, and privacy throughout the residence.

The project reinterprets contemporary residential architecture by merging tradition, sustainability, and modern domestic needs into a cohesive architectural narrative.
