I went to the Iran border and asked Iranians what they want to say to Americans
Iranians on the ceasefire between Iran and the US. Filmed at the Kapıköy Turkish-Iranian border crossing on April 8th.
Here’s a preview of the video we shot at the Iranian border last week amidst Trump’s threats and the subsequent ceasefire. See the full video on my channel. I asked the Iranians I spoke with how their lives have changed since the war started, and for their messages to Trump and the American people.
I spoke with people with diverse views and included all of them in the video, without censorship or selective editing. Many people’s views were nuanced and did not fit neatly into a specific narrative. Many people, especially those who expressed overtly anti-regime views, did not want to appear on camera, fearing that they or their families would be targeted by the Iranian regime for speaking out. I relayed what they said to me off camera in the video.
The overarching message we kept hearing from people across the political spectrum, both on and off camera, was a desire to live in peace and to have normal, friendly relations with the US and the rest of the world. Full video in on my channel.
