I've taken 100s of lunch breaks in this plaza looking at this view. This might be the first time I noticed the building "inside" the building. Do you see it?

Havasu falls flood 6/3/25 and the aftermath.

The smell of earth was heavy. So much soil was moved around, Navajo falls dried out and a new one was created near by. The rangers evacuated the camp site and we all had to relocate near the ranger station. Didn't have sleeping on a picnic basket on my bingo card! 😅Campsites were washed away and many hikers left the next day with little to no gear or food. Luckily, there was no loss of life! Last picture is of Mooney Falls. Always have emergency gear at hand, listen to the locals, and have an exit strategy.

Current condition in Havasu falls vs hours ago. Simple reminder to always have an exit plan when you're out in nature. Currently under flood warning but not emergency evac just yet! Oh, and yes, we're safe and on high ground!
