Bishkek FUTURE CITY

ENG / Bishkek City is a new master-planned community in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, that is being planned to become a hub for the sustainable economic development of the country and the other nations in Central Asia; as well as a model for the human-centered urban habitat of the future. The Project aims to create a model and a lab of Livable Urban Environment for the region through new urbanism principles and with the guidance of UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals and Sustainable/Regenerative Development philosophy and Circular Economy principles. The main objective of the Project is Human Development which can be briefly defined as improving people’s well-being and enlarging their opportunities. It is about asking “how people are doing” rather than “how the economy is doing” while it also has economic aspects along with social aspects.

TR / Bishkek CITY, Kırgızistan'ın Bişkek kentinde yeni bir merkez oluşturmak üzere planlanan, insan merkezli kentsel habitat modelini benimseyen, Kırgızistan'ın ve Orta Asya'daki diğer ulusların sürdürülebilir ekonomik kalkınmasını hedefleyen yeni bir master plandır. Proje, yeni şehircilik ilkeleri doğrultusunda ve UNDP’nin "Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri" rehberliğinde ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca UNDP'nin "Sürdürülebilir / Yenilenen Kalkınma" felsefesi ve Döngüsel Ekonomi ilkeleri bağlamında, bölge için bir Yaşanabilir Kent Çevre modeli ve laboratuvarı oluşturmayı hedefler. Projenin temel amacı, insanların refahını iyileştirmek ve fırsatlarını genişletmek olarak tanımlanabilecek "İnsan Gelişimi"dır. Bu kavram, "ekonominin nasıl gittiğini" değil, "insanların nasıl olduğunu" sormakla ilgilenir.
