Ece Dayıoğlu

I was born as the child of two lawyers and the granddaughter of two lawyers. I did not choose my family's profession, but my choices made me the seventh generation lawyer in my family. I was only six years old when I set out on this path for the first time. If they had told me back then that my career journey and my story would one day be the subject of an international legal magazine, I would never have believed it.

My grandfathers are not with us anymore. However, I’m honoured and proud to follow their footsteps as daughter and colleague of my mother and my father who mentored me and made me fall in love with my profession and as Dayioglu LAW FIRM partner. I dedicate Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2022 () - International Arbitration Lawyer of the Year award to my mentor and my father Cemal Dayıoğlu, my colleague and my mother Oya Dayıoğlu and my late lawyer grandfathers. I congratulate all my colleagues on April 5 Lawyers Day.

Ben iki avukatın çocuğu ve iki avukatın torunu olarak dünyaya geldim. Ailemin mesleğini ben seçmedim ama seçimlerim beni ailemdeki yedinci nesil avukat yaptı. Ben bu yola ilk kez baş koyduğumda henüz altı yaşındaydım. O zamanlar bana ileride mesleğimdeki yolculuğumun ve hikayemin bir gün bir uluslararası hukuk dergisine konu olacağını söyleselerdi asla inanmazdım.

Bugün dedelerim hayatta değil. Ancak bana bu mesleği öğreten ve sevdiren babam ve annemin kızları, meslektaşları ve Dayioglu LAW FIRM () ortağı olarak onların izinden gidiyor olmaktan onur ve gurur duyuyorum. Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2022 - Yılın Uluslararası Tahkim Avukatı ödülünü başta akıl hocam olan babam Cemal Dayıoğlu’na, kıymetli meslektaşım annem Oya Dayıoğlu’na, rahmetli avukat dedelerime ithaf ediyor, tüm meslektaşlarımın 5 Nisan Avukatlar Gününü kutluyorum.
