Interior Design Department’s Inside Out Talks no.8 will host Sefer Çağlar from Autoban.

The talk will take place on May 24th, 2021, Monday at 12.00.

Our guest, Head of Interiors at Royal College of Art, Prof. Brooker talks about Radical Heritages and Interior Design as the major profession for the built environment towards a sustainable future.

An academic and an interior designer whose practice mainly focuses on the reuse of existing buildings, Graeme Brooker explores the idea of heritage as the set of elements found on a site, to be analyzed, understood and reworked for new uses. Using his students’ work and his own, he illustrates numerous strategies by which radical heritages can be adapted for something they were never intended for.
