UNESCO’da Partenon Mermerleri’nin Kalıcı Olarak Yeniden Birleştirilmesi Konusunda Yunanistan’a Güçlü Destek
22 Mayıs Cuma günü sona eren UNESCO Kültürel Varlıkların Kökeni Olan Ülkelere İadesinin Teşviki Hükümetlerarası Komitesi'nin (ICPRCP) 25. oturumunda, Partenon Mermerleri’nin kesin iadesi ve yeniden birleştirilmesi konusu ele alındı.
Kültür Bakanlığı'na göre, Yunan heyeti, davanın tarihçesini ve Yunanistan'ın Partenon Mermerleri'ne ilişkin pozisyonunu detaylı bir şekilde sundu ve eserlerin iadesi ile Akropolis Müzesi ile birleştirilmesi yönündeki haklı talebi vurguladı.
Türkiye, mermerlerin anıttan çıkarılmasını ve Lord Elgin tarafından alınmasını meşrulaştıran hiçbir sultan belgesi veya fermanın bulunmadığını yineledi. Türkiye, Birleşik Krallık'ı uluslararası hükümetlerarası forumlarda fermanın varlığına atıfta bulunmayı bırakmaya çağırdı.
Yunan heyetinin sunumu ve argümanları, İtalya, Kolombiya, Brezilya, Azerbaycan, Çin, Çek Cumhuriyeti, Mısır, Polonya, Guatemala, Burkina Faso, Libya, İran ve Zambiya dahil olmak üzere Hükümetlerarası Komite’deki üye devletlerin çoğunluğu tarafından ve Kıbrıs, Türkiye, Bahreyn, Nijerya, Lübnan, Meksika ve Moritanya dahil olmak üzere gözlemci devletler tarafından sıcak bir şekilde karşılandı.

Strong support for Greece at UNESCO over the permanent reunification of the Parthenon Marbles
At the 25th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Promoting the Return of Cultural Property to its Countries of Origin or its Restitution (ICPRCP), which concluded on Friday 22 May, the issue of the definitive return and reunification of the Parthenon Marbles was discussed.
According to the Culture Ministry, the Greek delegation presented a detailed account of the history of the case and Greece’s position on the Parthenon Marbles, emphasising the just claim for their return and reunification with the Acropolis Museum.
Türkiye reiterated that there is no sultan’s document or firman legitimising the removal of the Marbles from the monument and their acquisition by Lord Elgin. It called on the UK to stop citing the existence of a firman in international intergovernmental forums.
The presentation by the Greek delegation and its arguments were warmly received by the majority of member states on the Intergovernmental Committee, including Italy, Colombia, Brazil, Azerbaijan, China, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Poland, Guatemala, Burkina Faso, Libya, Iran and Zambia, as well as by observer states including Cyprus, Türkiye, Bahrain, Nigeria, Lebanon, Mexico and Mauritania.

Une soirée alliant la lecture de poèsie à la dégustation de vins et à la musique jazz s’est une fois de plus avérée être la manière idéale de célébrer le Printemps de la Francophonie.

Greece In Turkiye Macaristan Büyükelçiliği'nin ev sahipliğinde, Institut français de Turquie / Türkiye Fransız Kültür Merkezi ile Fransa, Lüksemburg, Romanya ve İsviçre Büyükelçilikleri iş birliğiyle düzenlenen “SOIRÉE VIN ET POÉSIE” etkinliğine katılmaktan memnuniyet duymuştur.
Şiir okumaları, şarap tadımı ve caz müziğinden oluşan bir akşam, Frankofoni Baharı'nı kutlamanın mükemmel bir yolu olduğunu bir kez daha göstermiştir.

Greece In Turkiye was delighted to participate in the “SOIRÉE VIN ET POÉSIE” event hosted by the Embassy of Hungary, in collaboration with Institut français de Turquie / Türkiye Fransız Kültür Merkezi and the Embassies of France, Luxembourg, Romania, and Switzerland.
An evening of poetry readings, wine tasting, and jazz music proved once again to be the perfect way to celebrate the Spring of Francophonie.
