🇹🇱On 2nd March, PNTL, KLATU, and IOM conducted a socialization in Oecusse to share key findings and help Suco leaders identify risks like TIP (Trafficking in Persons).

Connecting with the community through Baikeno greetings and the sacred concept of "Uis Neno (Lord of the sky)," the team highlighted the shared duty to protect the vulnerable. Superintendent João Belo dos Reis (PNTL) unmasked the "silent crimes" on digital platforms, teaching leaders how to spot online grooming and the recruitment traps used for TIP, while Mr. Jacinto Amaral (KLATU) provided the essential knowledge on migration in Timor-Leste.

This joint initiative not only socialized the Anti-Trafficking Law (Law No.3/2017), but also equipped local leaders with the practical skills to proactively protect their residents. 🏠
