Timor-Leste continues to showcase its strong commitment to empowering young women in sport. We extend our gratitude to Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão for inaugurating the Girl’s Futsal in 14 Municipalities, and to the PNTL General Commander for his continued patronage of women’s futsal.

When women and girls have equal access to opportunities - whether on the field, in school, or in leadership - the entire community becomes stronger, healthier, and more resilient. Through sport, young women gain invaluable skills in teamwork, leadership, and courage.

Congratulations to all the athletes representing the 14 municipalities! We believe in your strength, talent, and bright futures. You are role models for the next generation.
