Over the past four years, a shared journey of partnership, learning, and commitment has shaped healthier school environments for children across Timor-Leste.
Yesterday, the Government of Timor-Leste, with the generous support of KOICA and in partnership with WFP and WHO, officially marked the closing and handover of the “Say No to 5S” (SN5S) project, a milestone that fills us with pride and gratitude.
Together, we have worked to promote better nutrition and healthier habits in schools because we know that when children eat well, they learn better, grow stronger, and build brighter futures.
As WFP, we are especially proud to have contributed to strengthening school feeding, one of our core commitments to supporting children’s learning and well-being. From the development of school meal menus to behavior change and nutrition resources, each achievement reflects the dedication and collaboration behind this initiative.
The symbolic handover of project outputs to the Government reaffirms a shared commitment to sustain these efforts and continue investing in the health and future of Timor-Leste’s children.
This milestone is not just the end of a project, it is a celebration of what strong partnerships can achieve, and a renewed promise to keep working together for a healthier, more nourished generation.
