Dear Penny Farthing riders

The Annual Mitre Tavern ride is on once again.

Thursday April 21st there will be a Penny Farthing ride from Docklands in Melbourne at Waterfront City (plenty of parking nearby on Doepel Way just behind) leaving at 1pm. We will meander along the iconic Yarra River through to the Abbotsford Convent for afternoon tea, then after refreshments we’ll wander back to the iconic Mitre Tavern for dinner and maybe an ale or two.

The Mitre Tavern has kindly offered to supply the riders with dinner as a token of appreciation for attracting publicity on their behalf. To me this seems like a great partnership as we get to do what we love; ride our Penny Farthings, get together with amazing like-minded people and they’ll spoil us with a wonderful meal.

The theme of the ride is to have fun! We can all dress up in period costume, steam-punk outfit or any other attire you feel fit to express yourself with, the louder the better!
